Raffle proceeds to benefit recent Tuscaloosa Academy student-athlete who awaits bone marrow transplant
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Rehab at Work will play host to a community blood drive and raffle fundraiser on Nov. 22 at its outpatient physical therapy center.
Rehab at Work, a Drayer Physical Therapy Institute facility, is at 1781-B Commons North Loop.
The Nov. 22 event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will collect blood for LifeSouth, the state’s biggest blood supplier, and raise money for the family of a 19-year-old University of Alabama student who is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Dillon Anderson, a graduate of Tuscaloosa Academy, is now a freshman at Alabama, where he is pursuing a career as a physical therapist.
